I am currently working on a public transport app design for mobile phones and the Apple Watch.  These are the initial wireframes for the app design. It will be based upon using iBeacon technology, although can also use GPS where iBeacons aren’t available. When an iBeacon signal is found by the app in a station or bus stop, the app provides a notification of next train or bus times and how long to wait until the next train or bus arrives. This information is then relayed to the Apple Watch, which will vibrate.

Touching the app notification screen will reveal further useful information about the route, and information about the various stops and pricing. When the phone is located near a payment beacon, a signal is received and the user is presented with a screen giving options to pay for the journey.

The apple watch will also show a visual display of the clock face
for quick reference showing how long to wait for the next train or bus.

Additional possible social functionality of the app includes notifying friends and families who have the app on their Apple Watches and phones when a particular station is reached by the primary user.
